Thank you for completing the quiz. Your responses indicate that you are ready to start strength training and weight bearing exercise at the Active Level. Here are my recommendations for you.

1. Start Strength Training

A great place to start is our Stronger Bones, Stronger Body Active Level strength training video series.

2. Learn Exercise Foundations

This online video course contains essential foundational concepts to ensure your safety and success. Whether you are an avid exerciser or just beginning, I encourage you to start here.

3. Start Weight Bearing Exercise

Weight Bearing exercise is an essential component of an osteoporosis exercise program. Why? Because it is the best way to build bone. I recommend you supplement your Stronger Bones, Stronger Body strength training with my Weight Bearing II video workouts.

Prefer a Book? Try Exercise for Better Bones

Not everyone likes to use videos when they want to learn something new. We understand.

Our book, Exercise for Better Bones, will allow you to ease into a program at your pace. You will have time to learn the “do’s and don’ts” of exercise and movement, safety tips, and other important information. In addition, Exercise for Better Bones has detailed exercise schedules (appropriate for your level) for you to follow. I recommend you bring your copy of Exercise for Better Bones and your schedule when you begin working with a local therapist.

A great resource on exercise and osteoporosis is my free, seven-day email course called Exercise Recommendations for Osteoporosis.
