Clients and readers often ask me for a list of recommended products for people with osteoporosis, osteopenia and low bone density. Here is my approved list of recommended products. In many cases, I have used these products, so I know them first hand.
All of the recommended products are available online at Amazon. I am not promoting Amazon. There are other places you can find many of these products but Amazon is hard to beat for price, service and availability. Where possible, I selected products that were available via Amazon Prime. However, since I favour quality of product over Amazon Prime, many products I recommend are available through a third party reseller on Amazon and not Amazon Prime.
1. Dynamic Tape
Dynamic Tape is a very effective way to allow full movement while reducing localized pain. The product can be hard to find. In the past I have paid a premium to get it through different resellers so I was pleased to find it on Amazon.
2. Back Brace
The Mueller Adjustable Lumbar Back Brace with Lumbar Pad helps provide relief from back pain and can also be used to restrict movement that could put you at risk for further injury. Recommended to help relieve lower back pain from strains, sprains and muscle spasms.
3. Reehut 1/2 Inch Extra Thick Yoga Mat
The Reehut Yoga Mat is a 71 x 24-Inches wide mat that ensures comfort for all-purpose. With high density foam NBR material, the 1/2” thickness premium mat comfortably cushions spine, hips, knees and elbows on hard floors.
4. Lumbar Support for Sitting

9. Rocker Board for Balance Training

15. Weighted Belt for Osteoporosis
A number of my clients are unable to wear weighted vests, so I encourage them to consider a diving belt instead. Here is a diving belt that I think will work for most people:
